Teaching

Introduction to behavioral ecology | Theoretical courses | Total: 12h | 1st year of BSc in Biology
Using a thematic approach and specific examples, this course allowed students to become familiar with the concepts of ethology and behavioral ecology, and the notions of sexual selection and trade-off.

Ecology | Practical courses | Total: 33h | 2nd year BSc in Biology
During this course students learned how to conduct a field experiment and how to identify invertebrate species in the lab.

Animal behavior | Practical courses | Total: 77h | 3rd year BSc in Biology
Students learned the scientific method, including how to design and conduct an experiment, followed by the design and realization of their own research project to produce a final report in the form of a scientific publication.

Population biology | Practical courses | Total: 26h | 3rd year BSc in Biology
Using two simple experiments, this course allowed the students to become familiar with the concepts of environment adaptation and plasticity.

Population biology | Theoretical and practical courses | Total: 64h | 1st year MSc in Biology
During this course students were taught to define a research question, determine assumptions they wanted to test, establish an experimental design, conduct the experiment, analyze their data, write a report (scientific publication) and present their results.
